Mr. Haveman’s experience includes geological and mineral exploration ranging from core logging, cuttings analysis, QA/QC and sample selection. He’s been directly involved in rock mechanics projects including preparation and installation of geotechnical monitoring equipment, core drilling, and in-situ stress measurement using the Sigra, CSIRO HI Cell, and Borehole Deformation Gauge (BDG) methods. Ben currently manages AAI’s laboratory, performing a variety of lab testing services including uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), triaxial compression (Triax), UCS and/or Triax with elastic properties, Brazilian tensile strength, slake durability, moisture content, point load testing, and dissolution testing. He is also versed with Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) hardware and collecting and documenting data from monitoring wells. He is a Professional Geologist certified by the State of Wyoming.
