GeoGuard^TM is an integrated Windows application dedicated to monitoring and analyzing the performance and loading characteristics of longwall face supports.

   A built-in interface to Allen-Bradley networks permits automated real-time monitoring, display, and archiving of shield data.

   The system enables rapid detection of severe face weightings, periodic weighting intervals and maintenance problems.

Leg pressure, convergence, and shearer position can be monitored in real-time and by trending data files over any time or distance interval.

3D plots of shield loading history can be overlain by mine layout and geologic maps to identify periodic loading intervals and anticipate future loading conditions.  Any shield cycle parameter (average, setting, and maximum pressure, or average shield convergence) can be plotted.
